Since 2004 this place has been serving some of the best tacos ever. They make everything from scratch and have a delicious salsa bar with 8 different authentic flavors to please every different palate. Easy Pasta

Here's a quick and simple pasta recipe that is also very tasty.
Conchigle with Tomatoes & Arugula

Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 cups dried conchiglie or farfalle
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ripe cherry tomatoes, halved
3 ounces fresh arugula
salt and freshly ground pepper
freshly shaved parmesan cheese, to serve

Directions:
1. Bring a large pan of lightly salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until it is al dente.
2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the tomatoes and cook for barely 1 minute. The tomatoes should only just heat through and not disintegrate.
3. Trim the arugula, removing any tough stems. Wash the leaves, drain well, then pat them dry with paper towels.
4. Drain the pasta, return it to the clean pan and add the tomatoes, then the arugula. Carefully stir over the heat to mix and heat through. Season well with salt and pepper. Serve immediately with plenty of parmesan cheese.

And there it is...a tasty and simple pasta.
*Also note that you can use whole grain pasta which is lower in calories.

It's Time For Recess

Glendale has a new hot spot and it’s called Recess. Recently opened on Brand Blvd., Recess is a great spot for a casual lunch break. If you like places like Alcove, Aroma, and Urth Caffé, then you’ll definitely like Recess…especially if you live in Glendale and want to stay local. Don’t get me wrong, Alcove and Urth Caffé will always be my favorite lunch spots, but Recess is a great substitute when I want to stay in Glendale. What I like about this place is the simple yet modern décor and the menu. Items such as “Scott Rd” and “The Bully” give the menu a playful feel. To my surprise, the food is actually really great so I would definitely recommend stopping in for a bite.

Village Gourmet

So I went to the valley to buy some famous John Kelly Chocolates, and upon reaching my destination I realized it was sold in the cutest little market I had seen, with the nicest salesperson I have ever met. I quickly fell in love with this place and spent quite some time in there just looking around. The Village Gourmet is a nice little market with a great selection of wine, cheese and much much more. If you’re a cheese lover like me you should definitely check this place out. They also offer a great variety of chocolates from across the globe. So to sum it up, a trip for chocolate turned into a discovery of one of my favorite new markets.

My favorite Cafe

If you’re an Entourage fan, then you’ve definitely caught Urth Caffé on several episodes. Not only is Urth a popular shooting location for the show, it’s one of my favorite places to eat. What I love about Urth Caffé is the freshness in their food and their all organic coffee menu. They have their own brand of organic grown coffee, which is delicious. Actually, everything I’ve had at Urth Caffé is amazing. And if you’re a boba fan, make sure to try their ice blended organic green tea boba. It’s pretty much the reason I go here. Make sure you stop by Urth Caffé in one of its four locations (West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Downtown)…YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Chin Chin

Looking for a great Chinese restaurant? Just stop by Chin Chin Chinese Restaurant in either of their five locations...(Studio City, West Hollywood, Brentwood, Beverly Hills, and Las Vegas). Chin Chin prides itself on the freshness of its food, not to mention the deliciousness. I recently went to their Studio City location and couldn't get enough. Their menu consists of various items such as dim sum, noodles, chicken dishes, beef dishes and so on. While there, I tried the cashew Summer Rolls as appetizers, which were really fresh and light. For the main course I had the Cashew Chicken and the Shrimp Lo Mein (all pictured above). FYI, go there with a BIG appetite because they serve alot of yummyyy food!!

P.S. Check them out on ChinChin.com
